"You don't know what terrorism can do to your family until you have lived it." - Anton Gunn, investigator and survivor of the bombing of the USS Cole just prior to the 9/11 incident, Executive Director of Fair Share "We need to make sure we use our experience," implored Janet Reno at the 9/11 commission, "to connect the dots." A victim of terrorism can connect the dots and has the required experience and concern. Excluding such leadership is not a sustainable practice.
Reno agreed, "I want to commend the alert customs officer (Diana Dean). She was great. It was a lucky break for us. We need to know how we can capitalize on that." The only way to capitalize on it is to invest capital in the empowerment of victims of violence. The Bush Administration might not be interested in preventing terrorism. Howard Zinn said it seems more interested in capitalizing on it. Richard Clark said it was more interested in scapegoating Iraq.
The Green Party has the solution to terrorism. Greens value non-violence. Greens conserve health, peace and other resources. Be the government that lets you be green.
